About LandonIn 2009, when Landon was less than a year old, he was hit by a car, severely injured, and abandoned. Someone who saw the injured dog took him to an animal emergency treatment center for treatment. He was then taken to an animal shelter, but nobody claimed him. Before long, Landon was rescued, fostered, and aided back to health, after which, he thrived, becoming a canine actor, model, and community motivator with his own educational platform. He is currently an ambassador for a high-tech startup company promoting mental health; he is a promoter of animal-assisted therapy; and he is the subject of a book that promotes happiness and wellness.

LANDON THE MODEL
Landon (who is a perfect size Medium) started out as a fit model for a line of dog clothing. His patient disposition made him perfect for this work. Soon thereafter, Landon was asked to model in a fashion show benefiting a Beverly Hills-based animal rescue group, the Amanda Foundation. At this event, Landon received worldwide press, modeling a custom-made Louis XIV ensemble made of fabrics flown in from Paris, just for him. After this, Landon appeared in more fashion shows and photos of him were used in calendars and advertisements. Landon is a pro in front of the camera, as well as on the runway. He has a signature runway walk, which is attributed to the hip injury (and later corrective surgery) that he sustained after he was hit by a car as a young dog (before being rescued by his current mom). Landon's walk is best described as a cool, sophisticated swagger.
LANDON THE ACTOR
After Landon was discovered in his first runway show, he joined the Hollywood Paws animal talent agency and attended animal acting classes. His new skills included how to go to his "mark" (i.e., his required position) on a film/photography set. He also learned how to perform other activities on cue and how to watch a moving target (which is an essential skill for both film and photography work). Landon was a co-star in a music video that focused on the GMO (genetically modified organism) labeling bill for California. The video was filmed on an organic farm in California (see photos below). Landon had the role of a cool organic farmer dog, whose intent was to impart the fact that GMOs are present in many pet foods, as well as in human foods. Landon was also profiled in a film about inspirational animals.

LANDON THE EDUCATOR
Landon is a very smart dog and he has a community education platform for kids.
His own story of resiliency and zest for life led Landon to share his story with
kids at Boys & Girls Clubs, and he has plans to also share his story with
kids in elementary and middle schools. Landon is the Wellness Ambassador for
ISD Innovations -- a non-profit tech organization that is developing an
app for suicide prevention. The company believes that sharing Landon's
story may give kids a sense of hope that will help them get through tough
situations and keep them on a safe and healthy track in life. Landon is also
a supporter of animal-assisted therapy and along with his mom, educates
organizations about its many merits.

LANDON THE THERAPY DOG
Landon is certified for therapy work by the certifying organization, Love on a Leash. He has visited people in hospice homes, treatment facilities, memory centers, libraries, and schools, providing them with both attention and comfort. Landon is very friendly and sweet, and people enjoy petting him or even burying their face into his glorious fur. Landon's mom did her doctoral research on animal-assisted therapy (AAT), and together with Landon, advocates for its use in various therapeutic environments. For more information about AAT, including the use of robotic AAT, click the link below.
LANDON THE HEALTH ADVOCATE
Landon is also an advocate for healthy living, and he and his mom (who has a PhD in health psychology and is certified in health counseling and nutrition) educate people about the importance of eating healthy foods, exercising, getting enough rest, and thinking positive thoughts. Landon partakes in these activities and enjoys helping people create a healthier lifestyle. Be on the lookout on Landon's blog for upcoming recipes and tips for healthy living. Landon will also be reviewing restaurants, products, and events based on their capacity for creating happiness and good health for dogs.
LANDON THE AUTHOR
Landon's first book, Landon Loves Life, debuted in fall 2017. This book expands on Landon's From Rescue to Runway story that he has presented at numerous Boys & Girls Clubs in Southern California. The book contains many photos of Landon and tells his story of resiliency, hope, and wellness — a story that is inspiring to people of all ages. Additional books about Landon are in early development.
